Consumer Awareness and Financial Enlightenment Initiative says it has postponed its annual symposium with the topic ‘Protecting and empowering the consumer through financial literacy.’

A statement said the postponement was due to the outbreak of COVID-19 in Nigeria.

The President of CAFEi, Mrs Debola Osibogun, said the decision to announce the postponement of the symposium was borne out of the need to ensure the safety of all participants at the event.

She said, “Before the postponement, the symposium was supposed to be chaired by the Chairman, Access Bank, Dr Dere Awosika, while the keynote address was supposed to be delivered by the former Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Kingsley Moghalu.”

While regretting the postponement, it stated that further announcements about the event would be made available as soon as possible.
