Adekunle is a dual qualified lawyer and arbitrator with vast experience in resolving complex disputes. He is a member of numerous professional bodies, including the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, Nigerian Bar Association, Charted Institute of Arbitrators, Charted Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, London Court of International Arbitration, Certified Institute of Auctioneers, and affiliated with various civil society groups. He is an alumnus of the University of Ibadan with a Bachelor of History; he also obtained a Bachelor of Law from the University of Buckingham and a Masters of Law from the University of Manchester.
He started his legal career as a barrister in the law chambers of Afe Babalola & Co, before joining the law firm of Banwo & Ighodalo where he developed his trade as a commercial lawyer and arbitrator. Presently, Adekunle is a Partner and Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice at Osibogun & Partners, where his practice covers a wide spectrum of advisory work, drafting and advocacy, in commercial law, banking law, intellectual property law, company law, consumer protection, insurance law, property law, asset tracing and recovery, and media law. He also specializes in domestic and international arbitration.
Outside the walls of the legal profession, Adekunle is devoted and commited to promoting democracy globally. He currently serves as the National Coordinator of the Young Progressive Nigerians Initiative, a non- partisan, socio-political organisation aimed at encouraging and promoting democracy. Adekunle is a brilliant and incisive writer, with an impressive record of publications to his name, including the widely appraised “The Citizens book on Governance, 2013”, a book which amongst other things offers a perspective on constitutional democracy.
In recognition of his rectitude, integrity and good character, Adekunle was appointed Notary public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Adekunle is a lover of God, Family and Football.
